Assembling our cabinets is fairly easy, certainly easier than installing them. If you think you can install them on your own, you may very well be able to put them together yourself.
Most our customers assemble cabinets by themselves, but some of the others may still need some help by professional carpenters. If you already have someone remodeling your house, he should be able to do the cabinet part either. The average cabinet assembly and installation cost in California is $40-$60 each box. For an average size kitchen (15-20 cabinets), you shouldn’t pay more than $1,200 to get all the cabinets assembled and installed.
The cabinets we sell are already manufactured as they’re stock cabinets. Building a single custom cabinet would drastically increase the cost for you. Therefore we do not make available sizes for custom cabinets. Everything we sell is featured on our website. In a lot of cases, a customer can modify a standard cabinet ever so slightly to meet their exact needs, saving the cost of a custom made cabinet.
RTA stands for Ready-To-Assemble kitchen cabinets. Generally speaking, RTA cabinets are much more affordable than custom made cabinets or even brand name cabinets. But even though they cost less, RTA cabinets made from reputable companies are actually made with the same level of quality that you can expect from more expensive custom cabinet companies. With RTA cabinets like ours, all the necessary parts are included. You’ll get everything you need to assemble the actual cabinets except the tools. We use cam locks and most of the holes are predrilled so a good screwdriver can often be enough to get the job done. 20 minutes is enough time for most handy homeowners or contractors to assemble a cabinet.
It all depends on which style you order. Most of the cabinets we sell are totally finished on both the inside and outside, except for the back because it is usually attached to the wall. If this is not the case for you and the back of your cabinet will be exposed, we sell back panels and molding to cover the outside corner and edge. This situation commonly arises for kitchen islands. Also of importance is the fact that some of our lines have natural colored finished on the inside.
To help lower the price and get more advanced features somewhere else, some of our cabinets are finished only inside. You will need to order end finish panels for all exposed sides.
