The Antique White kitchen cabinet is one of unique kitchen cabinets both in terms of design, color, and style. It has a beautiful and rich color that consists of an off-white that is much closer to a cream color rather than a pure white. There are also golden brown accent lines around the raised antique features of the door. The soft colors and intricate details of the door keep your cabinets light and classy.
Most antique doors use a five piece frame and panel construction for their doors. This design works well for wood grain doors with a stain and finishes, like our American Walnut, but the seams where the frame is joined will often cause cracking and chipping with any painted doors. Similar to the White and Gray Shaker, our Antique White uses several layers of flat lacquer paint on a solid one piece door to achieve a flawless unbroken look. A router is used to cut out all the intricate details in each door to give it a distinctive antique look. This solid door design creates a clean looking door void of the cracks that form when the wood expands. These beautiful doors are attached to the rubber tree wood frame in an impressive full overlay style. The doors and drawers have hinges and tracks with soft close features. These soft close hinges have a lifespan of approximately 25000 uses. Which usually means about 15 years of usage. The interior of the cabinet has a natural wood finish. The drawers are all made using soft close undermount tracks. The drawer boxes are made with a dovetailed construction. The doors and frame of the American Walnut cabinets are made of American Walnut wood which causes it to be priced a little higher than most of the other styles. The cabinet bodies use 5/8 inch thick plywood making these cabinets both strong and durable unlike many competitors who use particleboard for the cabinet body.
Despite the excellence and luxury that you get with the Antique White cabinets, you also get a wonderfully nostalgic feeling from the look of the doors. Perhaps that is why the Antique White cabinets look so good with the glass doors. There is almost a delightfully provincial look and feel to these cabinets. The Antique White is a great choice for many kitchens.
